Cinema e Digital

[Cinema and Digital]

This book brings together six texts written under several pretexts, assuming different forms and expressing different purposes. In common we find the relationship between cinema and digital technologies that have marked the last years of the seventh art.

No attempt was made to go against the canons and hierarchies established in the cinematographic production and creation, but instead there was the intention of looking at works and methods that usually are not elected at the academy as relevant study objects. Thus, we find here reflexions that discuss cinema beyond the works of public success or critical acclaim, of media euphoria or cinephile devotion. We have paid special attention to the do-it-yourself proliferation, the aesthetic implications of YouTube, the virtues of the making-of hermeneutics, the mutations of the animated film, the overlaps between technology and the images and the tendency of cinema to feature its probable futures.
