“On-line relationship management and digital participation in the political sphere: a communicative myth?” foi o tema da comunicação apresentada por Gisela Gonçalves no Congresso da IAMCR (International Association for Media and Communication Research) que teve lugar em Hyderabad, na Índia. “Region as Frame: Politics, Presence, Practice” foi o tema central do congresso realizado entre os dias 15 e 19 de julho.
Entre os dias 19 e 23 de julho, Ernesto Vilar Filgueiras participou na AHFE 2014 - 5th International Conference on Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics, na Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Polónia, onde apresentou as seguintes comunicações:
- “Human body-sleep system interaction in residence for university students: Evaluation of interaction patterns using a system to capture video and software with observation of postural behaviors during sleep (com G. Desouzart, F. Melo e R. Matos);
- “Comparative analysis between product centered design and user centered design methodologies in product design classes” (com R. Dagge);
- “Understanding the interaction behavior of architecture and design students with portable computers in the classroom” (com L. Lavin);
- “Antique furniture, modern student's needs: Architecture and design students over the gap between the technological developments and school furniture” (com A. Gomes e L. Lavin).
A quinta edição da Avanca | Cinema - Conferência Internacional de Cinema - Arte, Tecnologia, Comunicação contou com a presença de duas investigadoras do LabCom. Ana Catarina Pereira apresentou a comunicação intitulada «"Te doy mis ojos": A ousadia de romper o ciclo da violência doméstica através do Cinema». Águeda Simó falou sobre o tema «Ampliación de la narrativa del falso documental através de Instalaciones Multimedia Interactivas». O encontro realizou-se entre os dias 23 e 27 de julho.
